Vo Era, was born/ raised on Chicago's South Side. He now resides in NYC. His unique sound fuses poignantly simple lyrics with funky soulful guitar rhythms. He knows how to musically take a common phrase and paint the most colorful and extraordinary picture of life's most common occurrences. You can identify his life experience, passion, and optimism within his music. His debut album HONEY is currently available in all digital stores.  

 

Vo has performed at Chicago venues such as Reggie’s Music Joint, The Promontory,  The Underground Wonder Bar, The House Of Blues, and many more Chicago venues. In NYC he's performed at the Sugar Bar, Billie's Black, The Bitter End, The Village Underground, Cafe Wha, Basquiat's Bottle, SOB's, and multiple “Soul In Horn” parties. He also sang the Black National Anthem at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration Brunch in D.C.

 

In 2014 he received an offer from world renowned Hypnotic Brass Ensemble a.k.a. Bad Boys Of Jazz, to be a part of their rhythm section as their very 1st guitarist. He humbly accepted the invitation and since then he's been touring the globe with HBE.  Being their guitarist has afforded him the opportunity to  share the stage with The Roots, Esperanza Spalding, Gregory Porter, Gorillaz, Talib Kweli & Mos Def(Yasiin Bey). Vo is currently working on his sophomore solo album.
